We’re looking for a Planning and Administration Manager. Based at our Capenhurst location you’ll lead, motivate and develop the planning and administration team to provide an efficient and effective production planning, transport planning, uranium accountancy service for the Capenhurst site and to provide related expertise to meet customer requirements, regulatory requirements and the Urenco Group sales and business plan objectives.

What you’ll do:

 

  • Lead, motivate and develop the Planning and Administration team to ensure the provision of the services below are safely delivered on time and fully in compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements:
    • Production Planning and Scheduling
    • Transport  planning and administration
    • Uranium Accountancy
    • Export/Import Licences and Customs control for Uranic and non-Uranic items 
    • o   Enrichment and Chemical Processing Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor service
    • Deputy for Logistics Services Manager assuming full delegated authority during periods of cover 
    • Responsible for ensuring that transport documentation is accurately produced to enable Uranic to be dispatched to customers at the appropriate time and that all deliveries meet customer requirements and are fully compliant with the relevant transport, security, licensing, HM Customs & Excise and Safeguards regulations
    • Initial point of contact for the development and implementation of changes to the systems of work resulting from the UUK Logistics, wider Capenhurst and Supply Chain Execution related projects.

What do you need to thrive in this role?

 

  • Excellent understanding of plant operations principles with a broader understanding of Company and Group-wide processes and organisational roles, typically gained through several years of experience.
  • An understanding of the use and planning cycle for UF6 cylinders both within URENCO and externally with Customers, Fabricators and Convertors.
  • A good appreciation of the UF6 enrichment market, together with an understanding of transporting, handling and processing both natural and enriched UF6.
