Health and Safety Coordinator SiGeKo (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator to strengthen our team at the Urenco Gronau location. In this role, you will oversee and support the planning and execution phases of construction projects at our German Urenco site, and, if necessary, at other Urenco locations.

What you will do:
- Conduct site/safety inspections and document results
o Report on incidents and accidents
o Recognize and reward safe behavior while addressing or sanctioning unsafe behavior
- Advise project teams and contractors on health and safety matters related to construction sites, including:
o Health, safety, and well-being
o Environmental protection
o Quality management systems and quality assurance
o Organizational learning and quality improvement
o Aligning project teams with Urenco's strategies
o Prepare event analyses
- Prepare notifications according to construction site regulations, including:
o Health, safety, and environmental protection plans
o Documentation for the future maintenance of buildings
o Review contractors' HSE plans
- Attend construction and planning meetings, providing HSE instructions
- Build and maintain relationships with the local HSE team and external authorities, such as:
o Local government
o Building inspection authorities
o Regional governments
o Employers' liability insurance associations
- Promote a proactive safety culture and serve as a role model throughout the project lifecycle and within the group
- Ensure that HSE goals are fully integrated into Group Project activities
- Support the local H&S team of UD (organizing training events, Safety Days, etc.)
What you need to succeed in this role:
- Vocational/technical training (preferably in the construction industry) or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience required
- Ideally, further training as a technician/master
