Chemical Operator at Urenco Stable Isotopes
I first became acquainted with Urenco during elementary school, but initially, the thought of applying for an internship didn't occur to me due to the classified nature of the work. However, I soon thought, "Why not give it a try?".
Once I started my internship, I was fascinated by working with Urenco Isotopes. My role presents fresh challenges every day.
As my internship progressed, my enthusiasm for the work developed and I decided to pursue a permanent position at Urenco. Following successful interviews, I was offered the job even before completing my internship. The transition went smoothly, and after a well-deserved break, I embarked on my journey at Urenco.
Process Operator
I started studying as Process Operator, which is a general training, at the beginning of my school period, and I didn’t know exactly which direction I wanted to take.
But through a career fair I came in contact with Urenco and what it means to work in Operations. They had an interesting and straightforward story about Urenco and that attracted me enormously.
The nuclear industry has always been interesting to me, as well as the fact that Urenco contributes to a CO2 neutral world. I wanted to work at a company that is an innovative, unique and challenging, so by that, Urenco made my choice easy.
I spent my final year doing an internship as a process operator at Urenco. What I quickly noticed is that the team you work with is ready to help you, they welcome you with open arms and help you with your personal development. If you follow an internship at Urenco, good supervision is guaranteed and most importantly, you learn a lot!
After successfully completing my internship, I was offered employment and started immediately. I am now participating in internship fairs myself to encourage internships at Urenco.
