On Tuesday, January 24, representatives from UUSA attended the 20th Annual Utilities Service Alliance (USA) Member & Supplier-Partner Winter Conference in Savannah, Georgia.
The Utilities Service Alliance, also known as USA, is a not-for-profit cooperative designed facilitate collaboration among its member utilities. Through this alliance, member organizations share knowledge to reduce operating and maintenance costs, improve safety and performance, and provide innovation and leadership within the nuclear industry.
In addition to informational presentations and networking opportunities, utility members and suppliers can have face-to-face meetings discuss successes and growth opportunities. As a recent addition to the alliance, this conference was one of the first opportunities UUSA has had to take part in these collaborative events.
“This conference was extremely beneficial for our team,” shared Kevin Slavings, UUSA’s Quality Assurance Manager. “There was excellent representation within our industry and we made great connections to help us drive continued success at our facility and assist others with their goals.”
In addition to networking and sharing operational knowledge, UUSA’s new Chief of Staff, Keith Armstrong, presented on UUSA’s behalf to introduce the facility as a new member of the alliance.
“We’re excited about the potential of this opportunity,” shared Armstrong. “This partnership will drive the success of our strategic projects and help us build relationships and provide value to other organizations within the nuclear industry.”
