Urenco is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Fili as President and CEO/Managing Director of UUSA, effective 1 January 2019.
Karen will succeed Dave Sexton who will take a new position as Deputy Chief Operating Officer in January 2019.
Karen has more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry. She joins Urenco from Southern Nuclear Operating Company, where she served as Site Vice President for Vogtle Units 3 and 4. Previous to that, she held the position of Site Vice President for Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant at Xcel Energy.
Karen has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi College. She also attended the Wharton Executive Program and has a Senior Reactor Operator certification.
