Urenco Nederland sponsors major refurbishment of local park

06 January 2021 Local News

Urenco Nederland (UNL) is sponsoring the major refurbishment of one of Almelo's parks, the "Louise van Haaftenplantsoen".

Situated close to the UNL site, it will shortly be transformed into a walker-friendly park in an English landscape style.

The renovation project is an initiative of the Almelo Parkstad Foundation, a foundation that wants to promote the green image of the city of Almelo.

"We are giving the park a facelift so that even more people can enjoy this beautiful park and are pleased that Urenco wants to support us financially in this," said Foundation Chairman Egbert ten Cate.
