Appointment of Deputy Chief Operating Officer

Urenco is pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Sexton as Deputy Chief Operating Officer, based at Urenco UK. Dave will commence his role in January 2019.

Dave, currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Urenco USA, joined Urenco in 2006 and has more than 40 years of experience in the management, design, safety analysis, regulation, operation and licensing of nuclear facilities.

During his tenure at Urenco USA, Dave has served as the Vice President of Site Projects, Vice President of Operations and Chief Nuclear Officer, Vice President of Engineering, Project Design Authority and Technical Services Director.

Prior to joining Urenco USA, Dave was Vice President of the Kestrel Group, Inc. There he consulted for executive and senior management at numerous nuclear power stations and Department of Energy facilities and served in various line management positions.

Dave holds a Master of Science degree in nuclear engineering and Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and nuclear engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a registered professional engineer in the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering; served as the qualifying party on the Urenco USA’s commercial construction license and, attended the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Programme.

We are currently in the final stages of appointing the Managing Director of Urenco USA. A further update in this respect will be issued in due course.
