Carers matter at Urenco

08 June 2023 Global News

We've bolstered support for carers in our UK operations as part of this year's Carers Week.

Urenco is delighted to announce that it has become a member of the charity Carers UK.

This comes during Carers Week and enables Urenco staff who are carers in their regular lives to benefit from this additional support. The theme for Carers Week is ‘recognising and supporting carers in our community’.

We already have our own Carers Network which is an informal and safe space for carers to talk and share experiences, resources and knowledge.

Founded in 1988, Carers UK is the leading charitable foundation for carers in the UK. It provides information on everything from employee rights around leave, to practical support and e-learning courses for those looking after dependents.

All Urenco staff will have access to the available resources as part of the membership.

While much of the legal information relates to UK legislation, there are useful hints and tips, toolkits and best practice guides that apply to anyone caring for the elderly, sick or children across the globe.
